L-carnitine – a natural amino acid that helps with weight loss. L-carnitine is found in skeletal muscles, liver, and kidneys. The primary function of this amino acid is to convert the fats present in the body into energy. By transporting long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, carnitine prevents the accumulation of lipids in skeletal muscles, heart muscles, and the liver.
