Description
Mutant BCAA 9.7 30 servings provides 9.7 grams of amino acids, all in a single concentrated serving from one scoop. Mutant BCAA has a 2:1:1 ratio, and its composition is enhanced with the highest quality, maximum amino acid solubility.
Mutant BCAA is a food product for special nutritional purposes. The amino acids offer an excellent price-to-quality ratio, making them arguably your best possible choice. Don't believe us? Try them yourself.
BCAA (Branched-Chain Amino Acids):
- Promotes muscle growth. One of the main reasons for BCAA consumption is to stimulate muscle growth. Leucine activates muscle protein synthesis, i.e., the process of producing muscle proteins. In one study, people who consumed a BCAA drink after resistance training showed a 22% increase in protein synthesis compared to those who did not.
- Helps reduce muscle soreness. Often, after starting to exercise, intense soreness is felt a day or two after the first workout. This soreness is called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), which appears approximately 21-24 hours after training and can last up to 72 hours. BCAA has been shown to reduce muscle damage, which can help decrease the duration and intensity of DOMS. Several studies also indicate that BCAAs reduce protein breakdown during physical exertion and decrease creatine kinase levels (creatine kinases are an indicator of damaged muscle tissue).
- Helps reduce fatigue. BCAAs can help reduce not only muscle soreness but also post-workout fatigue. During training, your muscles use BCAAs, so their levels in the blood periodically decrease. When BCAA levels in the blood decrease, the amount of the essential amino acid tryptophan in the brain increases. In the brain, tryptophan is converted into serotonin—a chemical substance in the brain that is believed to contribute to the onset of fatigue during physical exertion.
- Prevents muscle breakdown. BCAAs can help prevent muscle wasting or breakdown. Muscle proteins are constantly broken down and rebuilt (synthesized). The balance between muscle protein breakdown and synthesis determines the amount of protein in muscles. Muscle breakdown or wasting occurs when protein breakdown exceeds muscle protein synthesis (breakdown occurs faster than production). Muscle wasting can be a sign of inadequate nutrition and occurs in chronic infections, cancer, starvation, and is also a natural part of the aging process. In humans, BCAAs make up 35% of the essential amino acids present in muscle proteins. They constitute 40-45% of all amino acids required by the body, so it is important that BCAAs and other essential amino acids are replaced during muscle wasting to stop or slow its progression.
