Lecithin is an essential body substance because it is present in every cell of the body, mainly as a component of cell membranes. Lecithin is a phospholipid substance that participates in the breakdown of fats and cholesterol, thus improving the digestion of fatty foods and preventing the accumulation of excess fat in the body.
